What's Really Goin' On?

You Tube

I have secretly turned into a Youtube junky. It's sad....so sad. It's also funny though. There is a web of drama and deceit in the youtube community. I mean who would have ever thunk it! Like "As the Youtube Turns" or "Guiding Youtube". There are a lot of interesting ppl in the world of cyberspace. Good grief I hope I don't turn into one. It's almost like real live tv shows on youtube. How exciting right!? Probably not. It's kinda neat though.

Lesson Learned

Surely there isn't a soul left that doesn't have Alicia Keys' new album. It's really nice. One of her songs (#6 to be exact) called "Lesson Learned" is my favorite at the moment. Her lyrics are fairly simple, but so powerful(IMO). In one part of the song she says something about life not being perfect if you don't know what the struggle's for....then she says "fallin' down ain't fallin' down if you don't cry when you hit the floor". So true....in life we have to be able to go through things and get the lessons from those things. Otherwise, we repeat the same mistakes. If we are being hurt by something and never stop to feel the pain, what's going to stop us from continuing to be hurt? I press repeat on this one! Gon' Alicia!

Oh my!

So, even though I'm in the medical field, there are lots and lots of things that I have absolutely never heard of before. I'm sitting home kinda watching TLC and I see a story about a dude that is basically turning into a tree. That was a little bit on the disturbing side. Check this out.

I mean, what do you do when you wake up one morning and there's a tree trunk growing on your leg. Good grief. Talk about a mystery condition!

I suck at blogging....

So clearly when I started this blog deal, I intended to blog on a more regular basis. Well.....there went that idea. Maybe I can do better.

Unruly Children of Today and the Parents That Allow It....

How many times have you been out in and saw a child acting out? Or better yet, saw the parent of that child see them act out....I don't get it.

I'm addicted.....

Ever since the end of my pregnancy, I've been struggling with a chocolate addiction. I'm freakin addicted to Hershey's Symphony Bars with almonds....OMG! I'm buying them 2 at a time....and not the small ones, the huge ones that they sell in Wal-Mart that are in their own section.....you know, the ones you're supposed to share with several people. I think it's like 190 calories per 4 squares.....I think there are 4 sections of 4.....at 190 calories......gosh! You do the math. I don't even want to know. And no, I'm not dieting, but I don't want to end up wishing I was. I think I did good this week though....I bought 2 Saturday and it took me 4 days to even open one. Although I did eat the whole thing once I opened it. They talk to me! Whoooooo I can't get enough!!! And if you haven't had one you should try it.....

Baleigh's First Day at Daycare

Okay, I'm so retarded.....I just erased like 3 paragraphs of stuff because I felt like I was rambling about Baleigh's first day at daycare yesterday. Basically, I was a little sadder than I thought I would be. I mean, I told myself that I was going to act a fool, but I didn't really think I would. And I didn't, but I did shed some tattoo tears. It only took about 10 minutes for me to get it together though.

I called to check on her around noon. I was told that a Ms. Mary was about to feed the child. Well, that's all fine and dandy, except for the fact that Ms. Baleigh is a boobie baby and she's only had a handful of bottles. She had been taking the Playtex drop-ins in the beginning. Earlier in the week, she seemed to be having a little trouble. *Fastforward to Ms. Mary attempting this feeding* My phone rang about 20 minutes after I got off the phone with the daycare people. My child is NOT taking that bottle. Crap!! I hopped up and got dressed so fast it was crazy! My baby has to eat. Yea, I know, she needs to learn to take a bottle. In the meantime, I can't let her starve. We rush to the daycare, I give her the boob, and we're good to go. After this, I'm in a frenzy. I have got to figure something out quick. I went to the store and bought the Dr. Brown's bottle that I have heard so many moms praise. The next time little Baleigh got hungry, I put a little of the boob milk in this "miracle bottle" and VOILA! It WAS a miracle! She sucked out of that bottle like a pro! I was so freakin excited!

So basically I typed all this to say.....Baleigh has a new substitute best friend when the boob is not around. Dr. Brown's is the shiznit for real! I called the center a little while ago to see if today is going better than yesterday and the lady said she took 5 oz.! As soon as I get out of bed, I'm heading straight to Babiesrus to buy a few more of Dr. Brown's! And yes, I still ended up rambling, but it's not as long as the other one would have been.......
